The information provided is for educational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for advice from your physician or other healthcare provider.  Please consult your healthcare provider before embarking on any diet, fast, exercise, or supplementation program and/or if you have or suspect you might have a health problem.  This information is from my research and from my personal experiences in dealing with a serious parasitic infection.

WARNING: Not all herbs listed here are compatible with each other.  Please do not view this as a protocol.  Some herbs have toxicity concerns and some herbs are not for some people (especially pregnant women, children, those with certain health issues, and/or those taking certain pharmaceutical medications).  This applies to supplements as well.

Everyone needs to create their own protocol with the guidance of a health-care provider and/or herbalist.  Everyone is different.  The best approach for someone will depend on the type(s) of parasite, overall parasite load, health of individual prior to infection, length of time of infection, diet & lifestyle of individual, age of individual, etc.

Anti-Parasitic Herbs (I did not take these herbs necessarily at the same time or even during the same month, but have used and continue to use all of them as needed):
  • Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium must be used with caution – Artemisia annua is safer)
  • Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)
  • American Wormseed AKA Epazote (Dysphania ambrosioides L. (Formerly Chenopodium ambrosioides))
  • Black Walnut (green hull and leaf)
  • Cloves
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Pau d’Arco
  • Seeds: Coriander, Fennel, Caraway, Cumin, Anise
  • Black Cumin Seed (Nigella sativa) & Black Seed Oil
  • Carom Seeds (often used with Jaggery or Indian Black Salt)
  • Oregano (both Mediterranean & Mexican)
  • Olive Leaf, Neem Leaf, Papaya Leaf
  • Cascara Sagrada
  • Berberidaceae Family: Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium) & Barberry (Berberis vulgaris)
  • Berberine Containing: Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), Chinese Goldthread (Coptis Chinensis)
  • Echinacea
  • Chicory Root
  • Dandelion Root
  • Ginger
  • Turmeric
  • Cinnamon (Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum) aka True Cinnamon … avoid Cassia)
  • Cardamom
  • Nutmeg / Mace
  • Allspice
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Sage
  • Centaury (Centaurium erythraea)
  • Plantain leaf (Plantago spp. in Plantaginaceae family) not plantains related to bananas
  • OTHERS: Quassia bark, Quisqualis Indica, Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare)¹, St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)

Beneficial Supplements that Assisted When Dealing with my Parasite Infection
(I did not take these all of the supplements at the same time or even during the same month.   These are supplements that I found helpful on my health journey and continue to use.):
  • Grapefruit Seed Oil
  • Oregano Oil
  • Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth
  • Activated Charcoal
  • Bentonite Clay
  • Colon Support: Psyllium Husk, Triphala, Aloe Vera, Senna (in moderation), Magnesium Citrate, Castor Oil (in moderation)
  • Immune Supporting Herbs (teas, tinctures, etc.)
  • Liver Supporting Herbs (teas, tinctures, etc.)
  • Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Digestive Enzymes (especially proteolytic enzymes like bromelain and papain)
  • High-Quality Food-based Multi-Vitamin / Multi-Mineral
  • Turpentine (yes, turpentine - NOTE: I did not take turpentine with herbs such as wormwood.  I have used pure gum spirits of turpentine more than a dozen times.  I found it very helpful and will continue to use occasionally for maintenance.  Pure gum spirits of turpentine is derived solely from pine trees.  I would never consume the "turpentine" that is sold at the hardware store – that would be dangerous.)

Thanks for reading my BLOG!  Please post a comment or question.  If you know of other herbs or supplements that assist in a parasite cleanse, please let me know what you found helpful.
